The hotel is situated in a stunning location with great views of the river and forest. The rooms are beautiful, with spacious bathrooms that have spa baths and huge showers. The staff is incredibly friendly and always remembers the guests' names, providing excellent service. The breakfast at the restaurant offers a wide variety of fresh choices. Additionally, the private pool and gardens provide a relaxing and tranquil atmosphere.
The walking tour offered by the hotel may not be suitable for everyone, as it involves climbing through the jungle and crossing the river, which can be challenging.

The Samaya Ubud was a wonderful place to stay during our vacation in Bali. The hotel's decoration was elegant and charming, with beautiful artwork and traditional Balinese touches. The general areas were well-maintained and easy to navigate, even for senior people like myself. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, always willing to assist us with any needs or questions we had. Their warm and friendly nature made us feel welcome and at ease throughout our stay.
It would have been even more perfect for senior people if there were more handrails or grab bars in the bathrooms to ensure better safety and stability. The children working there were attentive and helpful, but this small addition would have made the vacation even better for us seniors.

The staff were the very best, not intrusive at all, just the most pleasant people you could wish for. Breakfast and afternoon tea were extremely good and interesting, fresh Juices to die for. The Villas are set in wonderful countryside with just the sounds of the rushing river below and the birds, we couldn't have asked for any more, perfect for relaxation. The Villa we had was superb, great air-con, sheets and pillows of a high standard, huge bed and very comfortable. Big 46" TV, lots of channels with very nice furniture. The bathroom was huge with a spa bath and another TV, big shower and twin vanity. Then of course your own swimming pool which we used every day, with delightful gardens inside and outside the Villa. Really a great place to relax and visit. We did the cooking course which was great and very personal thanks to the amazing Chef and we also took the bikes out with a guide, riding through the most amazing streets with very friendly locals, and through the rice fields, it was a lot of fun. The hotel provides an excellent drop off and pick up service which enables you to explore the Ubud area including the monkey forest. Would love to visit again.

Excellent hotel. I can not think of anything that could be improved. All staff members were friendly and made sure that our stay at the samaya was something we will never forget. The villas are luxureous and very clean both inside and in the garden. The food of the sense-restaurant is very good and breakfast and afternoon tea are incredible. We will definitely go back to the samaya next time we go to Bali!

We recently stayed at a villa in Ubud and had an absolutely amazing experience. The villa was stunning and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel like family. The fluffy towels and comfortable poolside lounges added to the luxurious atmosphere. The food was delicious and we didn't feel the need to dine anywhere else. The free shuttle service was convenient and the location, overlooking rice paddies and forests, was breathtaking. we highly recommend this villa for a memorable stay in Ubud.

We had a most wonderful stay at the Ayung River villa at The Samaya Ubud. The location and setting, the staff, the villa itself, everything was simply outstanding. Though its a little away from the market, the complimentary shuttle makes it easily accessible. While it is billed as a retreat for couples, our five year old daughter loved it too. In fact, as the pool was too deep for her, the staff were kind enough to adjust the water for her! Kudos to the Samaya team! I know we'll be back!
Possibly the only thing we were just a little bit disappointed with was the restaurant Swept Away. The setting of the restaurant itself is beautiful but it can do with a more extensive menu. And it is a bit pricey...

The Samaya Ubud provides a truly memorable customer service experience. All the staff are friendly, always carry a smile on their face and response promptly to guests' requests. The complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, airport transfers, shuttle to Ubud, the private pool and awesome padi field scenary made up for its location, which is a bit far from town. We tried the spa twice, and we loved the four-hand massage! It is an excellent holiday destination for total relax and romance.
We felt certain parts of the villa which we stayed require maintenance, E.G. the mirror at the dressing table was a bit rusty, small part of the floor had some stains / watermark, water in the shower took some time to drain. Also, the bath and shower amenities provided could be improved (better quality/smell/flavour) eventhough they are some kind of housebrand. The villa pool is also a bit deep (1.8m) for non-swimmer or kids.
